Unity FC × Salt Athletic Aērcase Giveaway — Official Rules & Eligibility
Effective date: August 21, 2025
1. Sponsor
This giveaway is sponsored by Unity Football Club (“Unity FC”, “we”, “us” or “our”) in partnership with Salt Athletic.
2. Giveaway Period
The giveaway begins at 12:00 PM Pacific Time on August 21, 2025 and ends at 11:59 PM Pacific Time on August 28, 2025 (the “Giveaway Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Giveaway Period will be disqualified.
3. Eligibility
This giveaway is open only to legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who are at least 13 years old at the time of entry. If a Winner or Friend Winner is 13–17 years old, parental or guardian consent is required before prize fulfillment. Employees, officers and directors of Unity FC, Salt Athletic, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising/promotion agencies, and the immediate family members or household members of each such person are not eligible to enter or win. Void where prohibited.
4. How to Enter (Entry Method)
To enter during the Giveaway Period, follow the instructions on the giveaway post on the hosting social platform (Instagram / Facebook / X):
- Like the giveaway post;
- Follow @UnityFCBC and @Salt.Athletic on the hosting platform (required); and
- Tag a friend in the same comment. Each distinct tagged account in your comment counts as one (1) entry. Multiple tags are allowed, up to a maximum of five (5) tags per comment. You may enter multiple times by posting additional qualifying comments during the Giveaway Period.
Bonus entry (optional): Tag your club or city in the same comment for +1 extra entry. Bonus tags are optional and will be verified by Sponsor at time of winner selection; Sponsor may request a screenshot or other verification if necessary. If the bonus tag cannot be verified for a potential winner, the bonus entry will not be counted.
Notes: Tagging the same account more than once will be treated as a single entry for that account. Self-tagging does not count. Automated or bulk-tagging is prohibited and may result in disqualification. No purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.
5. Prize(s)
There are six (6) prizes available in total. Three (3) winning comments will be selected. Each selected winning comment yields two (2) prizes:
a) one (1) Unity FC × Salt Athletic Aērcase awarded to the commenter whose comment was selected (a “Winner”); and
b) one (1) Unity FC × Salt Athletic Aērcase awarded to one (1) friend-tag randomly chosen from that winning comment (a “Friend Winner”).
In total, three Winners and three Friend Winners will each receive one Aērcase. Prizes are non-transferable and have no cash value. No substitutions except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize is unavailable.
6. Winner Selection & Notification
Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period. On or about August 29, 2025, Sponsor will randomly select three (3) winning comments. For each winning comment, if multiple friend-tags appear in the comment, Sponsor will randomly select one friend-tag from that comment to receive the Friend Winner prize.
Potential Winners and Friend Winners will be contacted via the hosting platform’s direct message (DM) and/or the email associated with their account. Potential Winners and Friend Winners must respond within 72 hours of initial contact to claim the prize and provide shipping/pickup details; failure to respond within 72 hours will result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate. Both Winners and Friend Winners must meet the Eligibility requirements. If a Friend Winner is ineligible, an alternate Friend Winner will be selected.
7. Prize Fulfillment, Pickup & Shipping
Sponsor will arrange prize fulfillment within 30 days of winner verification.
• Winners and Friend Winners may elect to pick up their prize in person at a designated Unity FC location in Surrey, British Columbia (for example: Cloverdale Athletic Park). Sponsor will provide pickup instructions and a pickup window after verification. Winners and Friend Winners must collect their prize within 30 days of verification; failure to collect within this timeframe may result in forfeiture and selection of an alternate.
• Unity FC will cover standard shipping costs within British Columbia for Winners and Friend Winners who request shipping to BC addresses. Winners and Friend Winners must confirm a BC shipping address for covered shipping.
• If a Winner or Friend Winner requests shipping outside British Columbia, Sponsor may accommodate the request provided the recipient pays all shipping charges and accepts responsibility for any lost or damaged shipments. Sponsor is not obligated to ship prizes outside British Columbia.
Sponsor is not responsible for customs duties, import taxes, or other governmental charges for shipments outside British Columbia. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, delayed, damaged, or stolen shipments once in possession of the chosen carrier.
8. Publicity & Release
By accepting a prize, Winners and Friend Winners consent to the use of their name, likeness, social handle, photograph and/or city of residence for promotional purposes by Sponsor and Salt Athletic without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. By entering the giveaway, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Salt Athletic, the hosting social platforms (Instagram / Facebook / X), and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents from any and all liability, loss or damage resulting from participation in the giveaway or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize.
9. Privacy
Any personal information collected in connection with this giveaway will be used by Sponsor and its agents for administration of the giveaway and prize fulfillment only, and in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy. By entering, entrants consent to such use. Information will not be sold to third parties. Sponsor may share winner contact information with Salt Athletic for prize fulfillment purposes.
10. General Conditions
Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the giveaway, or any part of it, if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the giveaway, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor also reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or violates these Official Rules.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sponsor and Salt Athletic are not responsible for: (a) lost, late, incomplete, damaged, misdirected, or garbled entries; (b) any technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, online or social platform; (c) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process; or (d) any injury, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the giveaway or acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize. BY ENTERING, ENTRANTS RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SPONSOR, SALT ATHLETIC AND EACH OF THEIR RESPECTIVE AFFILIATES, AGENTS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS AND EMPLOYEES FROM ANY LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM OR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS GIVEAWAY.
12. Disputes & Governing Law
These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising out of or connected with this giveaway will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the provincial courts of British Columbia.
