SURREY, B.C. -- Unity FC is proud to announce that Talia Fiore and Ryan Lewis have been invited to Germany to experience professional club academy training environments.
Ryan begins a four-week German academy experience on September 22, starting with two weeks at SV Sandhausen.
Talia will travel to Germany later this week. Her experience will begin with Karlsruher SC before continuing with VfB Stuttgart, providing her with the opportunity to train in two distinct academy environments.
The invitations followed the players’ performances at Unity FC’s 2026 Winter Combine, where Canadian players trained and competed in front of visiting coaches and football professionals from Germany.
During their time in Germany, Talia and Ryan will train and compete in scheduled age-group academy sessions, work with academy coaches and experience firsthand the standards and demands of German football.
“These opportunities allow young players to step into a new environment, challenge themselves and gain a clearer understanding of what the next level requires,” said Unity FC President Kelcey Brade. “We are proud to help create that access with coaches and clubs, and excited to see what Talia and Ryan take from the experience—and where it may lead.”
Individual Journeys, Shared Opportunity
Both Talia and Ryan currently play for Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC and have pursued additional development opportunities alongside their club commitments.
Ryan also participated in Unity FC Performance Training throughout the summer and returned for Unity FC’s 2026 Summer Combine. His upcoming experience reflects his continued commitment across several training and competitive environments.
