Unity FC’s Performance Training program is designed to support ambitious players who want to improve outside their regular team training environment.
As a club competing in the BC Premier League, Unity FC works with players across multiple stages of development and understands the training demands required to progress in the modern game.

Players train in small groups of 4–6 athletes, allowing coaches to provide more individualized instruction than traditional large-group sessions.

How The Program Works
Step 1 - Optional Performance Assessment
Players who are new to the program may begin with a 30-minute Spring Performance Assessment to help determine the most appropriate training group.
Step 2 - Training Block Begins
Players train in small groups across an 8-week performance training block.
Step 3 - Consistent Weekly Training
Athletes train twice per week with focused sessions designed to build technical quality, confidence, and decision-making.

Spring Performance Training Block Includes:
• 8-week training block
• 2 sessions per week
• 16 total training sessions

This structure creates a consistent training rhythm where players can develop through repetition, feedback, and progressive learning.
Led by Unity FC Development Staff
Spring Performance Training is delivered by Unity FC’s coaching staff and players, including coaches involved in the club’s BC Premier League environment and player development programs.

Athletic Performance Testing
Powered by Altius Health & Performance
Athletes participating in the Spring Performance Training Block will complete an Athletic Performance Testing Session delivered by Altius Performance.
Testing provides measurable benchmarks for key athletic qualities including:
• speed
• acceleration
• agility
• explosive power
These benchmarks help players and coaches better understand current performance levels and guide development throughout the training block.
Strength & Conditioning Support
Integrated Athletic Development
The Spring Performance Training Block also includes integrated strength and conditioning support designed to help players improve movement quality, coordination, and overall athletic confidence.
This component complements the technical training environment and helps build more complete athletes.
