Unity FC’s Players First development environment is supported by a coaching staff with experience across professional soccer, collegiate athletics, and high-performance youth development.
Our coaches include current Unity FC BC Premier League players, experienced youth coaches, and sport performance specialists who are passionate about helping ambitious players continue progressing in the game.
Through Players First, athletes train in environments designed to emphasize:

Several Players First coaches are active Unity FC BCPL players, competing at the semi-professional level.
Professional & International Experience
Our coaching staff includes players who have competed in the UEFA Women’s Champions League and CONCACAF W Champions Cup.
High-Performance Youth Coaching
Players First coaches also work within BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL) development environments.

Vikram Puri
Players First Technical Coach
Vikram Puri is a Players First Technical Coach and an Assistant Coach with Unity FC’s BC Premier League team. He also serves as Technical Lead for South Delta United’s boys program.
Vikram holds a UEFA C License and previously worked as National Training Manager for TOCA Soccer. He played collegiately at Capilano University and Quest University.
Tristan Corneil
Players First Technical Coach
Tristan Corneil is a Players First Technical Coach and current Unity FC BC Premier League player.
She has competed professionally with Vancouver Rise FC, AC Sparta Praha, WFC Zhytlobud-2 Kharkiv, and FC Gintra, with appearances in both the CONCACAF W Champions Cup and UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Tristan previously played collegiately at the University of the Fraser Valley.
Kieran Eve
Players First Technical Coach
Kieran Eve is a Players First Technical Coach and current Unity FC BC Premier League player.
He also serves as an Assistant Coach within the BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL) and previously competed collegiately with the Trinity Western University Spartans.
Marcel Bona
Players First Technical Coach
Marcel Bona is a Players First Technical Coach and current Unity FC BC Premier League player, while also competing with the Trinity Western University Spartans.
He developed through Surrey United’s youth system and gained international experience with Újpest FC in Hungary and Sportfreunde Siegen in Germany.
Kody Torrance
Players First Goalkeeping Coach
Kody Torrance is the Players First Goalkeeping Coach and current goalkeeper for Unity FC’s BC Premier League team.
He holds the BC Soccer Goalkeeping Diploma, serves as a BCSPL Assistant Coach, and previously competed as a student-athlete at the University of the Fraser Valley.
Mckenna Regier
Players First Strength & Conditioning Coach
Mckenna Regier is the Players First Strength & Conditioning Coach.
A BSc Kinesiology graduate from the University of Calgary, she was a standout collegiate fastball athlete, earning 3× WCSA First Team All-Star honours and a bronze medal at the 2021 CCSA Nationals.
She is currently working toward her CSCS certification.
Paul Ballard
Players First Guest Coach
Paul Ballard occasionally supports the Players First development environment as a Guest Coach.
Paul is the Lead Coach of Unity FC’s BC Premier League Men’s and Women’s teams, a former Canada U20 National Team player, and a two-time CIS All-Canadian at Trinity Western University.
He played professionally from 2005–2012.
